Hike . . . . .

What is Hike??? It's what Addi refers to when she wants to play football. On Friday Cody's sister Brinkley came over after her volleyball game with her husband Richy. Brinkley did Addi's hair since we were all going out to dinner and then Addi talked Richy into a game of Hike in our living room. She learned that if she hit Richy before he said hike that she would win.
What a cute little cheater!

Thankful For???

#12: We are thankful for Cody's mission. During Cody's mission he learned so much not only about the church but about himself. He gained a greater testimony of the gospel and a love for the people in Arkansas. It has been such a blessing to our family that he was able to serve the lord.

#11. We are thankful for disposable diapers. It is so great to be able to just change the girls and be able to throw away the mess. I do not think that either of us would be a fan of having to rinse out the diapers, wash and dry them. Sounds like to much laundry to me.

#10. I am Thankful for Traditions. I love so many traditions. I love getting together for Pie night, there is nothing better than eating pie, visiting with family, and playing dodge ball. I love going to cut down Christmas trees with Cody's family and then having the Christmas tree express and getting to go around and see every ones decorated trees. I like the BBQ's on the 4th of July, the family camp outs in the summer and all of the many other family traditions that our families have.

#9: I am Thankful for Television. I am glad that I have the ability to just sit down and watch a show on television when I need me time or just to unwind.

#8: I am thankful for Books and the ability to Read. I love to be able to just pick up a good book and Read. I love the time that I get to just get lost in the story and to not have to worry about dishes or the laundry. I love getting to curl up in bed with Addi at night and read.

#7: I am thankful for Cody's Family. They are always so willing to help us in anyway that we need. They have us over for dinner every other Sunday. Cody's mom is so good to help watch the girls two to three times a week so that they don't have to go to a babysitter.

#6. I am thankful for my family. I am so glad that I was born into the family that I was. I have great parents that have always been such a great support to me. I also have two of the best sisters and brother-in-laws. I have really enjoyed the time that I have gotten to spend with my family. We have had some good time, some bad times, some rough times, and some funny times. I am glad for the time and memories that I have of time spent with them and hope to be able to spend a lot more time with them in the future.

#5: I am thankful for Adoption. I am thankful that Cody was able to legally adopt Addi. I have been blessed to have such a wonderful husband that was able to make the best out a situation that he could have just walked away from. I love that Cody sees Addi as his own and that they have such a close relationship. I am thankful for the sacrifices that Cody made so that we would be able to afford the costs associated with Cody adopting Addi.

#4: I am thankful for the Temple. I am so thankful for the opportunity that I had to be sealed to Cody in the Logan Temple. I love that I am able to go back often and to be able to receive the blessings that the temple provides in our lives. I am glad that in just a short time we will be able to go back to the temple and to have Addi sealed to us for Time and all eternity.

#3: I am thankful for Oakley: Oakley is such a good baby. She has brought so much joy into our home. I am so glad that I get to share this special spirit for Cody and that she is apart of our Eternal Family.

#2: I am thankful for Addi. When I found our I was pregnant with Addi it was not something I had planned for. She is such a little angel and I am so glad that I get to be her mom. She always knows just when you need to be hugged and told "Mom I just Love You!" She is so smart and such a good big sister. She tries hard to be a good helper. Having Addi helped me to realize how important the church is to me. She is truly Heaven sent!
#1: I am so Thankful for Cody! He has truly been a blessing in my life. When Cody and I met I was not looking to date anyone. My life was not exactly where it should have been or where I had planned for it to be. People are placed in our life for a reason and I know that Cody was one of these people. He is such a strength to me and I am so glad that he chose to be with me for eternity. I love that he is a great dad to our girls. He makes me smile with the passion he has for life! Cody is one of the reasons that I get up in the morning and something I thank my Heavenly Father for each and ever night!

Spoiled by Grandpa!

When you are two there is nothing like being spoiled by grandpa. My dad is such a sucker when it comes to Addi. Well, at least most of the time! He has been know to tell her he will not dress up with her on Halloween. When my parents took Addi to the circus a few months ago they got a flyer to Disney Princesses on Ice. Of course my dad suggested that we go because Addi just needed to see the princesses. So on Friday we got Cody's parents to watch Oakley (of course they were more than happy to watch her) and met my parents at the frontrunner station. This was Cody's first time riding it which made it kind of fun.

When we arrived in Salt Lake we jumped on Trax and went to the Gateway to get something to eat. McDonalds for Addi Chicken, fries, and a rootbeer! Who can resist a Cute little girl that wants a ride in Clifford the big Red Dog (Not her Grandpa). After we ate we still had time to kill so what better thing to do at the Gateway then Shop! My parents got a little christmas shopping done. Then since we still had some time we went to LOOK around the Build a Bear Workshop.

Addi was ok with just LOOKING at all the stuffed animals and pretending to wash a bear. Then, Grandpa asked her if she thought she needed him to buy her a bear. Grandma Nae then said don't you think Oakley needs one too! So Addi got to make two bears. We let him buy the girls a bear but told him they didn't need any clothes. Addi original picked the dark blue bear for her and grandpa picked the light blue one for Oakley but in the end Addi decided she wanted the one grandpa picked.

I have to say she was so cute when they were stuffing the bears. She knew to Kiss the bears Hearts before the girl even told her to.

Then she loved Washing the bears in the tub. She liked that it blew air and that there were brushes she could scrub them with. Who needs to dress up their bears when you can just give them a bath!

Addi always seems to amaze me I thought she would have a hard time coming up with names for both Oakley and her bears but she just gave us two names without any help. Addi named her bear Halie and Oakley's bear Sarah. She loved being a big girl and using the computers made just for her!

Once we were done making the girls bears it was time to head to see Princesses on ice. We arrived with just five minutes until show time!
Took a couple Pictures!

Addi loved the show! She would tell me Look mom thats Goofy!

When we got to Cinderella Addi was sitting on Cody's lap. She turned to him and said Daddy that Grandma down there Scares me! Then she crawled down and sat on her Grandma's lap.

She also told us she would buy Cinderella a new dress after the wicked step-sister wripped hers.

She loved all of the music!
During intermission Grandpa bought her a Princess Crown that lights up!
Her daddy bought her a snow cone in a Mickey Mouse Cup!
Then, we watched the rest of the show....

Our princess had a wonderful time dressing up and going to see Ice! This is what she called it!
We stopped to take a picture with her prince Charming Grandpa and Dad! Hopefully this is the only Prince Charmings we will have for a little while!
She even got her picture taken by the Pretty Princesses!
Being a princess is hard work and Addi fell asleep on the ride home!

McKenzie's turkey
Family Home Evening ideas can come from anywhere. Today when Addi and I were watching Nick Jr. we saw this cute idea for sugar cookie turkeys. Since Cody has class late on Monday's we invited our families over to participate. My mom said she was tired so she probably wouldn't come over but Cody's family came and we had a great time. While we were waiting for everyone to come Addi and I made the sugar cookie dough. We each then traced around our hands and cut them out. Next we laid our traced hands on rolled out cookie dough and cut around them. While we waited for the cookies to bake and cool a little we had a simple lesson. We each received a strip of paper that we wrote things we were grateful for on. We then went around the room and each told what we had written down and why. As each person went they added their strip to the ones before them and we made a chain. We are thankful for so many things. Some were thankful for grandchildren, their missions, school, work, chemistry, potatoes and meat, their family, being able to be sealed, adoption, and Mickey mouse club house. We then each decorated our Turkey's! Parker's turkey
Janice's turkey

Cody's turkey
Richard and Oakley needed a nap after all our FHE fun.

Going to the Play!

My Aunt Marn had planned for us to go see the play Beauty and the Beast on Friday night. We were so excited to go Addi had been talking about it all day. But when we got there it was all sold out. We then decided that we still wanted to do something. Since Adam had brought home the movie up we decided that if would be fun to just save some money and watch that. Earlier in the day my sister-in-law Brinkley had called to tell me about an amazing deal she had found at Shopko all there Halloween stuff was between 75 and 90% off and that included candy. Since we were in the terrace we decide we should stop and see what kind of treats we could pick up.

We each picked out a couple of bags but when we got to the checkout counter I found out Heather was getting an amazing deal on M&M's $.87 and a big bag of Milk duds for $.69. I needed some of this so I paid for what was in my hands and went and grabbed some more candy. Heather and I each went through the line twice and my mom had to make a third trip through the checkout line. Thanks for telling us about the great deal Brink!

When we got back to my mom's we popped some popcorn grabbed a few of the treats we had bought snatched up a good seat and started the movie.

It was a great night out with the girls. Hopefully we will be able to plan another girls night out soon to go see a play!

Turning up the heat!

Six hours of shopping can make anyone do funny things. Okay, maybe this was just funny to me cause I was so tired from shopping but I am going to share it with you anyways. On Saturday night I was driving around with my mother-in-law when she decided that it was getting a little to cold and she need to turn on the heater in the car. We had traded cars with my brother-in-law Parker because he had a school dance. Since one of the nobs on the dashboard is missing you have to use a pair of pliers to turn the air on. Well, in this case the air was on but just blowing out cold. Janice grabbed the pliers and grabbed a hold of the nob in the middle and proceded to turn it. She was so proud of herself for changing it to heat and was telling me she didn't understand why the kids always compained about the heat in this vechical because it wasn't hard to change it. She was giving herself a big pat on the back because she could even do it without looking at what she was doing. I than had to point out to her that the reason that it wasn't hard was because she had just used the pliers to turn the one that had the nob on it.
It was a great way to end a long day of shopping!
Thanks for the Great laugh Janice!

Happy Birthday Richard and Mckenzie!

Mckenzie is such an amazing athlete. She is also so caring and would do almost anything for you. On the court Mac is a moose but off she is as girly as you can get. Kenzie is always dressed cute and has the most amazing hair. I am so glad that McKenzie is a part of our Family!
Happy Birthday Mac!
On Sunday we were able to celebrate Cody's dad and sisters birthdays. As a family we went bowling on Saturday night and then had a delicious dinner on Sunday. We had such a great time bowling. Even Addi got to bowl with us.

Richard is such a good dad. He tries his best to attend everything that his kids participate in. He is the first to offer help. Richard thinks that Utah is the best state to live in because where else can you go on a bike ride and then jump in the car and be at the ski resort in 30 minutes. Richard loves to ski and is so good to help teach Addi. She loves her grandpa and asks when she gets to go skiing with him again, she even wears her ski hat around all the time. Richard is such a strong person not only in the things that he has had to overcome but also a great example to our family.
Happy Birthday Richard!
Richard showing us his skills on the lane!

Addi had this neat little ramp that helped her bowl.

Oakley had a good time just chilling in her seat and watching the rest of us bowl.
Mac and Addi would use the ramp as a chair while they were waiting their turns

I was so tired by this time at night. I went shopping with Janice for six hours!

Addi was such a good cheerleader.
Our scores! Paige was at school and Parker was at a school Dance.
